Environmental levy:
From 01.08.2023 a tourist environmental levy will be due.
The amount of the levy depends on the number of hotel rooms in the booked accommodation and must be paid by the guest (from 12 years) on site at the hotel. For smaller accommodations (up to 24 hotel rooms) the fee is SR 25.00 per person/night, for medium sized accommodations (25-50 rooms) SR 75.00 per person/night and for large accommodations (51 rooms or more) and island resorts outside the islands of Mahé, Praslin, La Digue and Cerf Island SR 100.00 per person/night.
Bathing:
Please note that depending on wind and weather, seaweed may wash up on the beaches throughout the year. Unpredictable undercurrents are possible. During low tide bathing is only possible to a limited extent. We recommend that you bring bathing shoes. At public beaches sunbeds & umbrellas are not included.
