The Sonoran Sea Reception will collect $10usd per reservation at the time of check-in. This is not included in your booking and must be paid upon arrival.
• For Sonoran Sea the reservation holder must be at least 25 years old and present state issued ID upon check in.
• The HOA maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy on threatening or abusive behavior. Harassment or physical abuse of any person by another is prohibited. Violators of this and or the rules below are subject to immediate removal from the property.
• NO offensive, intimidating, threatening behavior will be tolerated. Violators are subject to immediate removal from the Resort.
• Please do not move or rearrange the furniture and avoid taking any items our of the condominium. Everything is inventoried and anything damaged, broken, missing or lost will be charged to you. Please report any noticeable damages immediately upon check-in.
• Please do not move pool furniture from pool areas. For your own safety glass containers are not allowed in pool areas.
• Fireworks, fire arms and drugs are prohibited by Mexican Law. Fireworks are prohibited within 1 mile from the properties.
• No music or loud noise that might disturb owners and renters after 9:45 pm is allowed in order to preserve tranquility.
• Camping on the grounds of the condos or congregating in the parking lot is not allowed.
• It is prohibited to have tents, chairs, towels or to organize games in the green areas (grass).
• Room capacity, 3 bedrooms (6 persons), 2 bedrooms (4 persons), 1 bedrooms (2 persons). Only 2 extra people are allowed per unit if the unit is supplied with sofa sleeper.
• No additional persons are allowed to stay in the rental than the ones allowed per unit type.
• Sleeping inside the vehicles is not allowed.
• BBQ grills are not allowed inside the condos or on the patios. BBQ’s have been installed on the premises for your convenience.
• When leaving lower floor condos, please be sure to put the safety bar on the glass door and windows.
• The cleaning service will be provided after you check out of your unit.
• Please do not leave trash in hallways, place all trash in the designated trash areas, next to the elevators.
• Please return all room keys upon checkout, to avoid a replacement key charge.
• ATV’s, RV’s, Trailers, Jet Ski, Motorcycle, bikes and sand rails must be parked along the designated area.
• Only registered persons staying at the Resorts are allowed to use common areas such as swimming pool, fitness center BBQ grills, etc these areas cannot be used after 9:45 pm. The guest’s visitors are not allowed to use the common areas.
• We are not responsible for vehicles or items left in them.
• Only condominium renters and owners will be allowed to use the amenities such as the pool and grills. Be sure to wear your ID bracelet provided at check-in at all times while in the common areas. This allows security personnel to easily identify you and keep unauthorized persons out. If you do not wear the ID Bracelet you will be addressed by security and you will be escorted off the property.
• No pets are allowed.
• Registered Service Animals are allowed per Mexican Law – Renter must provide paperwork showing Animal Certification / Training. Emotional Support Animals (ESA’s) are not recognized as Service Animals per Mexican Law, and are not allowed.
• We are not responsible for items left in the condominium please be sure to lock the units.
• The beach area is not our direct responsibility. We are not responsible for articles forgotten or left in the beach area.
• In case of an emergency after HOA office hours please refer to guard gate for assistance.
• People under the age of 16 cannot use the gym facilities. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed in the Jacuzzi areas.
• Children must be under adult supervision around pool and Jacuzzi areas at all times. There are no life guards.
• Hanging any sort of clothes or towels on terrace rails is prohibited.
• Swimming suits only are allowed in pools. Street clothes are prohibited in the pools and Jacuzzi.
• Lost and Damaged Wristbands will have a $ 20.00 USD charge.
• This is a NON-SMOKING Facility. Smoking is NOT PERMITTED in the common areas or inside the condos or balconies. Only on the beach.
• We ask you to respect our security staff. They are here to keep you safe, remind you of the rules, and to help you have a good time.
• Pool rules are posted around the pool area. Please limit the use of the Jacuzzi to no more than 20 minutes so that others can enjoy. Pools close at 9:45 PM. The pool area should be quiet after that.
• The use of the facilities is not allowed once check out is completed.General Rules
• Renters and Owners must wear wrist bands in the common areas.
• The property enforces a 10:00 PM Quiet Policy. After 10:00 PM loud music or loud noise must cease.
• Bathrooms are located under the elevator and in the lobby. We prefer that you use the ones outside if you are wet coming from the pool.
• We ask that you do not leave garbage in the hallways. Please put garbage in the containers near the elevators.
• It is not allowed to hang clothes, towels, or any other object on patio railings.
• We ask you to respect our security staff. They are here to keep you safe, remind you of the rules, and to help you have a good time.
• No pets allowed for renters (owners may have pets).
• Owners must keep their pets on a leash and pick up after them.
• Drones are not allowed on the resort property at any time.
• Drones on the beach: Mexico law states that only Mexican nationals are allowed to have drones, and the drone must be properly licensed with the Mexican authority.
• Mexican law prohibits firearms and fireworks.

• Pool Hours are from 7:00 AM – 9:45 PM.
• There is no lifeguard on duty.
• Proper swim suit wear is required when using the pool or the hot tub. Jeans, shirts and cover ups are not allowed in the water.
• Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
• Infants are required to wear “swim diapers”. Swim diapers are available at the resort convenience store.
• Headset required when using electronic equipment.
• No glass containers or bottles around pool area.
• No food inside or around pool area.
• Please do not leave personal belongings on the lounges or tables in the pool area overnight or go to the beach all day, others may want to use them.
• Children over 12 are NOT allowed on the slide.
• No diving or climbing on the rocks or waterfall in the pool area.
• Pool Bar – 18 years and older.
• West Building Hot Tub – Open to all ages. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
• East Building Hot Tub – Adults only – Children under 16 are not allowed.Common Areas
• Smoking is ONLY allowed on the beach.

• A cleaning truck cleans the beach area early in the morning. Please do not leave tents, umbrellas, towels, etc., overnight on the beach or in any common area. We are not responsible for any loss or damage of any items left in these areas or the parking lot.

Things to do:
Akumal is a water-lovers’ paradise on the beach in front of the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Akumal itself is a small but thriving beach community situated on 2 beautiful bays – our condo is on the Half Moon bay which is picturesque, quiet and romantic. You can spend a whole vacation right on Half Moon bay without leaving the area, with a beautiful beach and wonderful little restaurants in walking distance.
Akumal has its own small supermarkets, boutiques and several dive shops, one of them just a short walk from Hacienda de la Tortuga, and water sports facilities. Right in the area of Akumal is great snorkeling, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing.
The condo is in walking distance of Yalku Lagoon which is a natural lagoon formation with crystal clear water — a unique swimming and snorkeling experience. Several world famous Riviera Maya attractions are close by including the Xel Ha (15 minutes ) and Xcaret adventure parks, the towns of Playa del Carmen (1/2 hr), Tulum./
Puerto Aventuras (20 min) and of course the renowned Maya archeological sites of Tulum (20 min), Coba (1 hour) and Chichen Itza (2 hrs)- plus many more Maya attractions are close by.
Akumal in the Mayan language means ‘The Place of the Turtles” – sea turtles can be seen year round and their nesting season starts in May, during the months of July and August you can observe turtles nesting and baby turtles hatching.
Nightly ‘turtle walks’ are available and can be arranged with the Akumal Ecological Center.
Akumal has several shops for water-sports including open water diving, cenote/cavern diving (for which the area is world famous), snorkeling/catamaran trips, fishing and more. They all rent equipment and all have certified guides.
Bicycles and golf carts are available for rental. Yoga classes and Spa services are available in the main beach area (1/2 mile from Hacienda de la Tortuga).
How to get around:
Akumal is a small relaxed beach community, a car is nice to go out to our many nearby activities but not necessary if you just want to kick back and explore Akumal. Explore the area on a rental bike or golf cart available nearby.
How to get there:
Guests can fly into the Cancun International Airport or the brand new Tulum International which are an hour to 1.5 hours away from Akumal by modern highway. The most popular methods of reaching Akumal are rental car, private airport shuttle or taxi. We have great recommendations for private driver services at reasonable prices. Public Bus transport is also available.

Casa Carmelita, also known as Casa Encantada #7, has plenty of charm, romance and magnetism that is tucked away in a serene setting. Casa Encantada, a classic adobe compound is situated on what was original Pueblo land. This early 1900’s family compound has been transformed into a charming, intimate collection of individually owned casitas. Located one block off Kit Carson, it is an easy walk to the Plaza, 0.7 miles or drive to free parking just minutes from the Plaza for shopping, galleries, restaurants, music and museums, and just moments to the El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa.
Casa Carmelita is a classic adobe casita that opens into a beautifully landscaped, grassy common area. There you will enjoy a unique totem pole surrounded by large cottonwood and aspen trees. This one bedroom gem sleeps 2 adults comfortably with a King bed (memory foam) and a Queen, Sleeper Sofa with no bars, no springs, no compromise.
Guest will enjoy the large Kiva fireplace with beautiful gas logs for warm cozy nights. French doors open to the spacious private patio showcasing a bistro set with a wood-burning chiminea for a “quite” happy hour, then top the evening off with a relaxing soak in the hot tub.
Additional amenities include, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, microwave, dishwasher, Roku/Smart TV with wireless Sony headphones, blu ray DVD, CD player with Bluetooth, portable Bluetooth jam-box for music in the patio, fiber optic high speed internet, gas grill.
Our casita is dog friendly. Your dog can be unleashed in your private patio, however there is a Leash Policy for the complex. There are a number of common areas where you can walk your dog, but the dog must be on a leash attached to the owner at all times in the common grassy areas, walkways and parking lots. The neighborhood is also ideal for walking pets and Kit Carson Park is only a few blocks away.
Dave visited Taos for the first time in 1971 on an art scholarship through his University. We hope you will enjoy his paintings that hang in the casita, l some are available for purchase. Carmelita, a Registered Nurse enjoys the culinary experience of New Mexico and the Southwest.

We recommend having a car as the lively Banff centre is a short 2-minute drive away, though it’s worth taking advantage of your FREE Roam bus passes during your stay – the bus stop is just outside. During the summer, we love to bike around town or on the Legacy Trail nearby. In the winter, head to the slopes of Nakiska, Sunshine or Lake Louise – you will not be disappointed! The Meatball Pizza and Pasta restaurant, with amazing desserts like Mount Assiniboine and Cheesecake.

Our beautiful Casa Creativa, tropical paradise condominium is located in “La Buena Vida Condominiums”, a luxury condominium project located on one of the two main streets in Tamarindo. Just a short 7 minute walk to the beach past shops, restaurants, bars, markets, the skate park, and more!
We are unit 7, located in the rear of the complex set away from the street to ensure a peaceful stay. The unit abuts a public “greenway”, wooded area. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.
Only a 7 minute walk to the beach and a 4 minute walk to downtown Tamarindo where you can find restaurants, shops, bars, a skatepark, surfing, and more!
Our condo is two floors. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living space, and a half bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and an ensuite full bathroom. Bedroom #2 has one queen sized bed, two twin sized beds, and an ensuite full bathroom. The main floor has a large AC unit that is enough to cool the entire first floor. Each bedroom has their own AC unit as well.
As far as outdoor spaces, there is an upper outdoor balcony overlooking the pool and a first floor patio area off of the kitchen.
Casa Creativa is stocked with basic kitchen amenities, bath towels, beach towels, books and a few board games. We also provide a Guest Welcome Book that should answer any questions you may have about your stay at Casa Creativa and in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
The condo is fully air-conditioned throughout. No need to pack linens, towels, or basic toiletries. All are provided. Both ensuite full bathrooms come equipped with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The living room and kitchen offer plenty of room to hang out inside to chat, play cards, watch television, or work remotely.
With a well-stocked kitchen (cookware, bakeware, tableware for 8, microwave, blender, 4-burner electric stove, oven, coffee maker, toaster, range, and full-sized refrigerator) you may choose to make your meals in your home away from home.
Enjoy a croissant made by the French pastry chef at Utopia, or bring takeout up to the condo from the outdoor food court, El Mercadito, just down the street. Tamarindo offers many great dining choices—everything from street food to fine cuisine. A wide variety of choices can be found within walking distance or a short drive.
